Tel-Log / Connecting via Ethernet
The Soft-Log administration software can connect to Tel-Log over Ethernet connections using the TCP/IP protocol. This allows for administration of remote hardware units connected to a local network or even the Internet.
Tel-Log has built in Hardware Password Protection that prevents unauthorized access to the unit when it is connected to public networks (or even a Modem).
To connect Tel-Log to an Ethernet network you need a Serial-to-Ethernet adapter or you can use the Soft-Log Proxy software that turns a regular Microsoft® Windows™ based PC into a Serial-to-Ethernet converter.
The hardware converter can be purchased from various online and retail sources and the Soft-Log Proxy software is available for purchase directly from Rögg Corporation.
